Holland America puts Alaska Treats on the Menu

Holland America Line aims to elevate the classic cruise dessert, Baked Alaska, to a new art form by adding a dusting of edible 24-karat gold. ‘Gold Rush Baked Alaska’ features on the dessert menus of this season’s Alaska voyages, offered each night with a revolving variety of toppings including fresh berries and other products from the 49th state. For a second year, Holland America is showcasing ‘Going Wild for Salmon’ menu additions on Alaska cruises. In addition to numerous salmon dishes created by master chef Rudi Sodamin, the program includes special on-board culinary events, cooking demonstrations and seminars.
